North Fork retreat was like an Architectural Digest version of the perfect Pacific Northwest lodge. Beautifully decorated with lots of local Pendleton fabrics, including both the wool and quilted versions. Effective heating, wood stove with dry wood in the shed, lots of towels (some hosts are stingy with those) and blanket throws for cuddling up on the comfy L-shaped couch. Kitchen well supplied with many kinds of glasses, pots and pans, cooking toys, utensils, and a glass top stove. Special plastic plates and glasses for kiddies. (Also toys tucked away in a closet.) There was even a bottle of Pinot Noir awaiting us. Kiddie bunk beds and furniture in one bedroom and a king bed the other. Three decks on two floors...too rainy to use in December. Best of all, log cabin is placed right on a junction of the Washougal River, providing lovely rushing water sounds all day and night. Host organization was responsive and quick to reply to a few questions. Expensive, but very well supplied.

If you live in the Vancouver, Camas, or surrounding area and are looking for a super quick trip, but makes you feel like you are on vacation, this is the place! Really easy to get to, right on the north fork, and you feel like you are in the mountain or forest. It was like we had driven to Mt. Hood, but were less than 30 min from home! Can't wait to do it again!

The place was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet and right by the river. We had a slight hiccup during check-in, since I arrived late and there was no indication of a locked front gate, but it was worked out within a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise, my stay was great. The property manager was responsive and eager to make sure my stay was comfortable.

When we arrived, we were greeted with a beautiful home! Very clean and very well decorated. The king size bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in while on vacation. The kitchen was full stocked with all the stuff you would need to cook. While we didn’t watch tv, the huge flat screen was impressive. We walked out the back sliding door on to a big deck over looking the river! What a view!!! Listening to the sounds of the river was so relaxing. We can’t wait to stay here again!

The cabin was great! Nicely set up and lovely, and super easy for a weekend stay. My kids adored the bunk beds and the toys that were there for them. The kids' room was perfect for them - but the setup might be a tad small for older kids. My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful layout and additional touches throughout the cabin. ITrip was very communicative and attentive to anything we needed.

Really beautiful cabin. Very clean, great decor. Great sense of seclusion and privacy. I felt welcome and comfortable instantly. Lovely place for a family trip or a personal retreat. We had a wonderful stay in this very well-stocked cabin, great appliances, lovely setting on the back deck, very clean and well organized. The decor appeared to be professionally done. We did figure out how to manage the air conditioning, but gave up on the propane table on the deck. We could not find directions and I am sure there was one step we were missing to light the table. The three of us each took turns tripping on a couple of the throw rugs, so we just move them out of the way. The doors and windows were easily locked, except for the kitchen window above the sink. There was a stick in the sink when we arrived, but we could not completely close the window. The location was very good for us to enjoy our planned adventures for each day and nice to come back and enjoy the pleasant surroundings and comfortable cabin. Very quiet and peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful home. Everything was well organized. We did set aside a few throw rugs that we seemed to catch our toes on! Directions for how to operate the propane gas outdoor table would have been nice. It’s such a lovely setting. We really didn’t need to have the table going. May we suggest adding some under cupboard lighting in the kitchen? Such a well stocked kitchen, and loved it you provide coffee just in case we forgot to bring our own! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Great property, great location! The river flowing was perfect for restful sleep every night. We are not use to sleeping with a cool breeze and the sound of water flowing below. It almost feels like a tree house!! The bed was so comfortable and everything we needed was provided. My husband saw a bear down by the river and we had a doe with a baby fawn hanging out everyday. Perfect vacation!!

My family and I loved this cabin! Exactly as listed, is only 7 min drive from Washougal motocross track which is why we came. Be aware, we had four adults, and two of us slept comfortably on a single bunk bed. It can be done!

We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing weekend at the North Fork hideaway. This adorable cabin is tastefully decorated and perfectly set on the Washougal River. We cooked in almost every meal and were very pleased with how stocked the kitchen was. The only item we lacked was a colander. We slept well listening to the sound of the river every night. Our only suprise was the bunk beds, my 14 year old son is 6"1 and these are definitely made for small children under the age of 10. He happily slept on the couch and it was no problem. Log siding, hardwood floors, eckectic decor, and even a waterfall made this place feel warm and cosy. Yet the updated amenities made our stay feel just like home. Its proximity to both the mountain region of Washington and the city of Portland make this a perfect getaway.

I like to do my own cooking. It’s a rarity to find a well stocked kitchen in a rental house that has a variety of spices and decent pots and pans but this one does! The sound of the running Washougal river at night offers one a delicious night sleep. Just leave the bedroom door open at night and you’re off to lala land. Make sure the lights in the bedroom are off when you decide to open the bedroom door or you will be inundated with bugs, attracted to the light, that somehow get in around the screen door. It’s very relaxing to sit out on the deck and sip a cup of coffee and watch the river roll by. The bed in the master bedroom very comfortable. Soap and shampoo dispensers in downstairs bathroom gummed up and not dispensing soap but we brought our own shampoo and found some body wash in The cupboards we could use. Would recommend this sweet little spot along the river to anyone.

This was a great place to stay for our vacation. It’s a hidden cabin with the river running directly behind it. I loved having the windows open so we could hear the water. Playing by the river was fun too. My kids loved the river and swings and the games available inside. (It rains a lot in this part of the county) They also liked the bunk room. The main bedroom bed was comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. But we were outside as much as possible. Lots of near by hiking and out door things to do. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. Normal, easy check in and out. Of course we cleaned our stuff up and the only thing they asked us to do was take the garbage out of the house. My Mom lives close by in this area and we will definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful place to relax and recharge! The sound of the river and being in nature is soothing. Everything that one needs, is there! The kitchen is fully equipped and the house is decorated beautifully. The king size bed was a treat to sleep on. There is plenty of wood for the fireplace as well. There were four women staying and felt extremely safe. I wish we booked a longer stay.

We were in town to visit family and this cabin was a perfect home base. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything thing we needed and more, it was nice to see the assortment of cooking items and all were good quality too. The river was gorgeous and we loved hearing the rush of water through the rapids below. They have a good set up to get down to the river bank but fyi it is steep.

This is an amazing hideway right on the Washougal River. You spend an extra 15-20 minutes driving off the main roads to get here, but the place is VERY cozy and VERY peaceful. So peaceful, you will find you have no cell service most of the drive there, and none when you arrive at the place. For that reason, load your key-pad info before arriving! Only complaint and problem with this property is that the back deck is not safe at all. The railing is missing in most places and replaced just with wire mesh, and the decking is extremely slippery. The bedrooms upstairs are open ceilings and not disconnected by any true walls, so that makes this good for a family but not as good for other arrangements.

I won a gift certificate for the North Fork Hideaway and decided to use it for a mini girls weekend with my friends. The cabin was clean and decorated really cute. We had everything we needed. The stairway down to the river was solid and safe. We had a great time out on the deck around the table fire pit. It is beautiful there and we saw a momma doe and her baby and a couple bald eagles! I highly recommend it!

My fiance and I stayed here during a trip to the PNW from Texas. We wanted a proper cosy mountain cabin experience and boy did North Fork Hideaway deliver! The first night we arrived, we realized you could open the door from the bedroom and hear the sound of a rushing river, we were enchanted. It's funny, we spent half of our vacation here, and the other half on the Oregon Coast. The entire time we were on the coast we were wishing we'd have stayed here longer in Washougal!!

We had a great stay at this cozy quaint cabin on the river! The cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed a nice fire inside, and we LOVED dining on the back deck, listening to the sounds of the "river music" and nature. The kitchen had everything needed to cook fabulous meals. The cabinets were labeled inside so we knew where to return everything when we were done AND where to find everything we needed. We went for some nice walks in the neighborhood in the evening. It was a great place to stay!

We are from Arizona and I wanted to stay at a place that would seem other worldly to my kiddos - this fit the bill completely. Driving onto the property was an amazing experience. The deck looking out over the river was amazing, hiking down to the river was an adventure. We don’t have young kiddos anymore but if you do there is so much for them on the property. Decorating inside was beautiful - we loved everything about our stay!!

What a lovely place—better than expected! A beautiful brook runs right behind the property, with steps down to dip your feet in. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in the woods, away from the noise of humanity, this is the perfect spot. The nearby towns are small with limited amenities, but we wanted a true escape, and this delivered. iTrips® made entry smooth, and the house was spotless with all the essentials, including cookware and spices. A few extra condiments like ketchup and mustard would have been nice, but no big deal. The heating/cooling took a moment to figure out, but it was a minor issue.

We loved our stay at this cabin so much that we didn't want to leave! It has been beautifully redone and has the most well stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. The beds were comfortable, although the bunk beds are much better suited for children. The location is gorgeous, relaxing, and easy to locate. We enjoyed time on the deck listening to the river sounds, stargazing, and breathing in the fresh air. We also enjoyed a cozy rainy day inside with a fire. We strongly recommend a stay here!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights for our birthdays. We enjoyed it very much. It’s a very calm, beautiful, serene, and peaceful place. We loved that you can see and hear the river right outside. Only thing I would improve on is add an iron and a broom, as they seemed to be the only things missing in the house. These are not deal breakers because this place is AMAZING! We would definitely stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful cabin on the river, and it was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the stunning location. The cabin itself is cozy, well-appointed, and impeccably clean — it was honestly the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. Every corner was spotless, and it was clear that the hosts take great pride in maintaining the space to perfection. One of the standout features for us was the fully stocked kitchen. We were so impressed by how thoughtfully equipped it was, with everything we could possibly need — from high-quality pots and pans to utensils and even specialty items! We decided to cook Thanksgiving dinner there, and it was such a joy to have everything we needed right at our fingertips. It made the experience even more special. The best part was the riverfront setting and the coziness of the cabin. Hearing the river flow outside instantly calmed us. Best experience ever! Highly recommend this cabin.

The cabin is nicely equipped and while there are neighbors on each side, it is a very quiet and peaceful setting. There is a small trail down to the shore of the river, we saw two bald eagles when we walked down there in the morning. The kitchen has the best selection of tools and cookware that I have ever seen in a rental. Everything is very clean and I can only echo what others have written about the wonderful river sounds. For those who like the outdoors, Beacon Rock is relatively close by car and an excellent short hike (with 700m ft elevation gain) with great views of the Columbia River and the Bonneville Dam. A bit farther along Hwy 14 is the Bridge of the Gods to the Oregon side of the river, with plenty of waterfalls to explore and the Bonneville Dam Visitor Center.

We had such a wonderful and peaceful stay. Kitchen is extremely well stocked with utensils, spices and everything you need to make lovely food. King bed was extremely comfortable, I want to know what the mattress brand is so I can get one someday. We saw deer, plenty of hummingbirds, bald eagles, lots of different birds along the river bed. North Fork Hideway was STUNNING. Beautiful cabin, amazing view. Took advantage of the BBQ on the deck almost every night. The kitchen is so well stocked, it was like being in my kitchen at home. Host is responsive, and the guidebook with info on what to do nearby really makes it fell like someone curated the experience for YOU. 10/10. Will stay again, and will recommend this spot to anyone traveling in the Washougal area.

Beautiful place to stay for our weekend away. It rained most of the time we were there which we loved. The place was well stocked with just about everything we needed and comfortablefor relaxing. Will be looking to stay again next year.

I spent a long time looking for the perfect place in the Columbia River Gorge area -and this was it! Everything was exactly as the listing said. But in person, it was even better. The deck on the river allowed us to hang out and read, have a drink by the fire table, and grill and eat dinner. I loved it. The kitchen was amazingly well-equipped, even with things I have never seen before. We kept the door to the balcony off the bedroom open all night, so that we could hear the river rushing by.There will be a couple of times we had questions about the propane, and the response to help us was super quick. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO rentals in the past, but this is my favorite so far. Thank you.

Loved this cabin! It’s tucked away off the beaten path but close to town, and close to Vancouver as well as Portland. The river being so close is lovely, with the screen doors you can sleep with the door cracked to listen to the river and if it’s raining, the rain. It’s also pretty private with the neighboring houses not being super close, sometimes it’s hard to know how close neighbors are but it felt nice and private. Everything was cozy and it had all the amenities you’d need for a trip away from home. I personally appreciated there being coffee beans/coffee machine as well as a wine bottler opener as I never remember to bring one! We didn’t cook but there was plenty to cook with etc. The WiFi worked just fine which was great being outside of cell service for us. Check out was easy and uncomplicated, didn’t have to worry about checking a million times the list to make sure I did everything perfect. Self check in was also easy and perfect. Would stay here again!

Wonderful place that felt like a dream home. The home decor was warm, thoughtful, functional, felt positive and appropriate. As a weaver, I was fascinated by the beautiful rugs, blankets & enjoyed finger weaving on the deck overlooking the beautiful river. The wall art, metal and wooden are were amazing and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and relaxing around the house. This has been the best rental we’ve been to!

We loved everything about our say in this cabin! It was the perfect size for our family of four, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen space was perfect, and the outdoor space and surroundings were stunning. In addition, the hosts were great to work with. We would definitely stay here again.

This was one of the better equipped kitchens in all the vacation rentals I've used. The knives were even sharp. My partner and I love to cook when we get away so that was important to us. The bed was too soft for my partner's preference but I thought it was lovely.The view is very pretty and it was nice to sit and sip coffee on the porch and listen to the river.

We very much enjoyed our stay here! It is a close distance to my parent’s house and made our visit for Thanksgiving a breeze! Finding it initially was difficult, but that was more user error than anything else. The only potential issue we found was that the accommodations include one large bedroom with a king bed and one smaller bedroom with children’s bunk beds. We didn’t realize until we got there just how small they were. The walls for these rooms also don’t go the full height to the ceilings which made privacy a bit difficult. For two married couples the arrangements were a bit uncomfortable, but for one small and young family I think they’d serve appropriately. We loved the location and enjoyed hearing and seeing the river so easily each day. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped and the king bed was quite comfortable! Overall a great experience.

North Fork retreat was like an Architectural Digest version of the perfect Pacific Northwest lodge. Beautifully decorated with lots of local Pendleton fabrics, including both the wool and quilted versions. Effective heating, wood stove with dry wood in the shed, lots of towels (some hosts are stingy with those) and blanket throws for cuddling up on the comfy L-shaped couch. Kitchen well supplied with many kinds of glasses, pots and pans, cooking toys, utensils, and a glass top stove. Special plastic plates and glasses for kiddies. (Also toys tucked away in a closet.) There was even a bottle of Pinot Noir awaiting us. Kiddie bunk beds and furniture in one bedroom and a king bed the other. Three decks on two floors...too rainy to use in December. Best of all, log cabin is placed right on a junction of the Washougal River, providing lovely rushing water sounds all day and night. Host organization was responsive and quick to reply to a few questions. Expensive, but very well supplied.
